One has a fixation with death and the other is, well, pretty deadly.

Keith Rommel is the award-winning author who knows death very well. He is about to bring death to a theater near you with The Cursed Man. Catch his interview on pg. 154.

You’ve seen the versatile actor Tom Nowicki in such films as The Blind Side and Remember The Titans. Watch for him this Fall in USA Networks drama series Satisfaction. Read about Tom’s adventures on pg. 157.

Excerpt:

“You are a delicacy,” he said in her ear.

Sofie woke with a slow smile. She felt tingly inside, relaxed and exhilarated at the same time.

He’d given her what she had always secretly wanted but had been afraid to ask for up until now; wild, passionate sex. The kind that satisfied her on all levels. Mouth-wateringly good.

She turned her head on the pillow toward the sound of his voice. “And you are the most delicious man I have ever…”

She was in bed alone. Frowning at the pillow next to hers, she re-played their love-making in her head. All that had happened between them had been a dream.

She sat up, not at all surprised to find that she was naked again. “This isn’t happening…who are you?” She looked around the room. “Where are you?” She said louder, and then put her head in her hands.

“Of course it was a dream. I don’t even know who he is, I wouldn’t let a stranger…I am having a nervous breakdown. You Bastard, you did this to me.”

She must be going through Levi withdrawal. That’s why she was having these hot dreams. Then why couldn’t she shake the feeling that she was being watched? Even more alarming than that; she didn’t mind a bit.

She was enjoying the man with the golden eyes. Even though he was all in her mind, he was gorgeous and funny and so sexy. She loved the feel of his big body over hers. The way he took control of her body. He was a creative lover and put his all into it, into her. He knew just what she liked and didn’t mind getting messy.

“Better in bed than the Bastard.”

A lusty chuckle floated through the air and she looked up.

Adderley’s Bride

by

Danita Minnis

Sofie is a singer, baker and a serious planner. When she finds her rocker boyfriend up against the wall in a vocal booth with a back-up singer, her five-year plan for a home and family is dubbed over like a bad music track.

Gray, a lusty ghost who acts like she is his long-dead fiancée invades her dreams and works her body over, night and after night. It isn’t long before Sofie’s plans include her beguiling lover, a ghost man with a plan of his own; be with me. Nice plan if you call that living…

Excerpt

He came up behind her at the island as she was kneading dough for the beignets.

The spacious kitchen should have been cold in the middle of the night but the hard body against her back enveloped her in warmth. She curled into him. At five-foot-four, her head only reached his chest. His pecs were a firm pillow.

In the seductive veil of the dream, her peripheral vision blurred so that she felt more than she saw. The only light on in the kitchen was the overhead light which pulsed above them. A thought teased her consciousness that maybe it was not the overhead light at all, but something more.

“Ah, Sweet Sofie.” He shifted until he was nestled between her legs. “I am drawn to you like a moth to a flame.” His arms came over her and as he helped her knead the dough, his shaft slid in and out between her legs.

She sighed her pleasure and leaned her head against his chest. Watching his big hands over hers with flecks of the flour and sugar mixture coating the hair on his knuckles was an erotic vision of teamwork. She wondered how those hands would feel as they kneaded her flesh.

Their hands worked in time to the rhythm of his slide, in and out. Their fingers clenched onto the mound of dough as he pushed forward, and released as he slid out from between her thighs. Their heavy breathing was the only sound as they clenched and released, clenched and released…

A lazy heat flared between her legs, warming her to the core and making her hips rock back and forth. Her legs were giving way and she spread them wider to stay upright. She stopped kneading the dough to lean over and hold onto the island.

He grabbed her hair, wrapping it around his hand so that she had to lean her head back against him. “Don’t stop,” his gentle scolding tickled her ear. “I have not had a decent beignet since I arrived in these United States.” He released her hair and pressed closer. She was now trapped between the island and his lean hips. “I’ll hold you up.” His low chuckle was a hot vibration between her thighs.

Adderley’s Bride

Her stomach growled, and he chuckled. “You haven’t eaten anything.”

“I’m not hungry.” She wanted to hear his stories. There was something about him that was so very compelling and she wasn’t going to fight it. He intrigued her.

Her stomach protested again and he gathered her in his arms. “Come on, then.” When he set her down they were standing in the kitchen.

Disoriented, she wavered on her feet. “H-How…did you do that?”

Grinning, he leaned against the counter in naked glory. He really was a large, beautiful man – ghost – she reminded herself. Ghost man.

“Oh, never mind.” He wasn’t going to answer her anyway. He was too much of a tease.

As she tried to gather her bearings, she decided she really was hungry. She retrieved the deep fryer from a draw under the island and placed it on the oven. After pouring in the oil, she gathered the ingredients for Monte Cristo sandwiches.

She rummaged in the refrigerator. “Continue.”

“After the rage, I began to listen. The Wynters were good people. Through them I learned what must have happened all those years ago. They had no idea their ancestor had not built this house. They were never told anything about me.”

She whisked the egg-flour mixture in a bowl. “Forest knows you’re here.” He didn’t answer and she turned, bumping into his chest. His movements were soundless and instant. It struck her that was the only way she could tell he was a ghost.

He set salt and pepper on the counter and took her by the waist, pulling her hips flush with his.

“But he won’t admit it,” she finished breathlessly.

“It’s for his own good now that Sophia is gone. Others would only think he is mad as a hatter.” He smoothed her bangs out of her face and bent to place his cheek against her hair.

She couldn’t argue with his reasoning and turned for the bread.

Gray wouldn’t let her go as he sniffed her hair like a predator assessing his meal. “It even smells like chocolate,” he murmured against her temple.

Desire rose in her like the jungle heat of her dreams. Her lioness was responding to his lion, almost making her forget how hungry she was.

Sweet Dreams…

Amelie Laurent of my paranormal romance, Love Entwined has love on the brain:

Love Entwined Excerpt:

‘Do not be afraid of love.’ He pulled the robe from her shoulders. It swished to the floor in a whisper of silk.

She should protest; she did not know him. Instead, she sighed with the cool night air against her bare breast.

Warm hands drew her close, a comfort as much as a command. When he wrapped his arms around her, the bedroom walls fell away. She smelled the sea and the wind whipped around them.

She dug her fingers into his back and remembered…the way he nipped her neck when he sank into her; his deep, satisfied grunt when she clung to him; how he pinned her down, holding back the release until she would die if he didn’t let her come right now…

She did know him. He was her Commandant. She molded herself against him and his chin dipped to rest on her head.

When he pulled back, a thick, black curl winged away from his forehead. Full lips curled into dimples and moonlight shone in his eyes. ‘My love.’

She rubbed her nipples into the curls sprinkled across his chest and finally, he lifted her and laid her down on the water’s surface. His body, all hard planes and angles, pushed her down. She wrapped her legs around him atop a swelling wave.

He murmured approval as he cupped her buttocks, lifted her hips and drove into her all in one deft motion.

‘We are one.’ He said against the column of her throat as he rammed into her.

The night rose and fell on her sighs.

He impaled her, took her breath away as she clung to him in the ocean spray. Their limbs slammed together as he tossed her about on a wild ride. The dark waves crested, carrying them away as the night shattered …

Amelie kept her eyes closed and licked her lips. It felt real; he felt real. Too soon, consciousness chased her fantasy away.

She sat up, staring across the bedroom at the pre-dawn outside her window. She turned on the bedside lamp and a golden halo sprayed the room. “Just a dream.”

Her nipples still tingled in arousal. She pulled off the chemise.

‘Jacqueline’

He stood outside her bedroom window, watching her, his square jaw slack with need. His tanned skin glowed in lamplight…

Amelie pulled the chemise to her breast and turned off the lamp. She got out of bed and crept across the room. She stood as close as she dared to the cool glass pane.

He was gone.

Don’t be ridiculous. Of course, he had never been there, couldn’t have been there. The dream had shaken her up.

She watched the purple sky lighten to pink as the sun climbed above the wintry clouds.

In the dream she had known him, but the memory eluded her now. It faded from her consciousness as quickly as the street lamps winked out over Central Park thirty-six stories below.
