Margaret Izard will be awarding a Stone of Doubt Book Swag Box to a randomly drawn winner.
Author Interview: Margaret Izard
1. How did you choose your genre? What made you write this book? I love sci-fi and romance, so writing paranormal romance stories came easily. Stone of Doubt is the fifth book and Evie’s love story in the series. Each book focuses on the recovery of a magic Iona stone while focusing on the character’s journey.
Stone of Doubt, book 5. Evie’s story. (Colin and Bree’s daughter) A human with Fae powers finds herself fulfilling an old magic stone prophecy as her lost dream boy, now a man, must rescue her from the cruel grip of an evil monster and save the realms.
2. Writers write what they know, and must observe the world. Are you a first born, middle or last child and how does this shape your view of the world?
I am a middle child, the black sheep being different than my siblings since I am very creative and have been in the arts all my life. I’m an oddball artist who loves exploring the world through imaginative eyes.
3. Where is your favorite place to write?
My writing space is a wet bar in the corner of the game room we converted to a beverage/study nook.
4. How do you feel about killing your darlings, and what do you do with the remains?
The advantage of writing in the paranormal genre is the creative license I can take – to tell you what happens to some, not all, of my dearly departed is a spoiler
5. You are introduced to your favorite author. Who is it, and what is that one burning question you must ask them?
I have many favorite authors and have met them and gushed over their writing while awkwardly Fan Girling out over meeting them.
6. Inquiring minds want to know…tell readers something about you that no one knows.
I’ve shamelessly been engaged five times yet married only once to my true love for 34 years. Wait for the right connection, and it will come.
7. You are stranded on a deserted island with only a back pack for company. What three items are in your survival pack?
I started camping at age 9, and was a trained Boy Scout/Girl Scout leader. I love the show Survivor.
Firestarter or Waterproof Lighter, Multipurpose Tool, Water Purification System (Filter or Tablets), Bonus item (if I could sneak in a fourth): A tarp for shelter.
8. If you could have one super power in your existence, what would it be?
Mind reader
9. Favorite snack?
Chocolate
10. Indy 500 – Do you know how to get where you’re going or do you drive the speed limit?
I have a need for speed. Since I have triplets, I have driven a triplet taxi for years. First a minivan, then a SUV. A couple of years ago, I got a sports car.

BLURB:
In the absence of doubt, only faith is found.
A human with Fae powers living like an oddball has its ups and downs until Evie MacDougall’s dream Fae boy pops back into her life after she thought another was “the one.”
One dark and devilish, the other her long-lost love. Evil forces trap her for a magic Fae stone, but which man can she trust? As a teen prophesied to be Fae king, Aodhán viewed the girl of his dreams through an Eye of Ra.
Once, he risked all to help Evie MacDougall find a magic Fae stone, only to end up imprisoned. Kept from his true love for years, he finds her at risk from an evil Fae hunting a magic stone.
Is a single vow strong enough to save true love, to save the human and Fae realms?

Excerpt:
She breathed as Aodhán wrapped his arms around her, pulling her against his muscular chest. “Welcome to Broemere Castle, my home.”
She turned as he held her in his arms. “Yer home? Ye mean the Fae realm?”
Aodhán brushed his fingers over her cheek. “Aye.” He gazed at her momentarily with a grin spread over his face. “Come, I wish to show ye around the castle before we meet the others.”
He pulled her hand, and she tugged back, stopping him. “The ball, it still calls ye?”
He nodded as he turned, and she tugged again. “Ye mentioned punishment. What for?”
He took her hand and kissed the back. “For showing ye spells I wasn’t allowed to.”
Evie stood staring at him as the edges of his eyes crinkled. She looked down, her mind rolling over memories as the past connected with the present, then his statement.
She gasped. “The Fae, they punished ye for helping me.” Her eyes connected with his. “Yer punishment was because of me. Ye didn’t leave me. They kept ye away.”
Aodhán stepped to her, his hand on her cheek. “Aye, that’s true.” He bent and brushed a kiss. Tingles like before shot to her toes, electrifying her body.
Aodhán’s whisper brushed her ear. “And I’d do it all over again.”
