And the Winner Is…Holloween Blog Hop!

What a scary-good Halloween Hop! Thanks Drea for a great time.

It was so much fun finding out what gives you lovely readers goosebumps! I’ve been scaring myself all weekend revving up for Silent Hill Revelation 3-D and I thought you might want to know: I wasn’t scared by this new Silent Hill because it was…ok. Just sayin’.

I don’t want to give anything away but  you lovely readers would have been good to go along with me. Matter of fact, the scariest thing about Silent Hill 3-D was me working myself up to a heart attack days before, imagining what it would be.

So, next time don’t chicken out. We could have had a Screamin’ Party. Love those, gets all the stress out of your system, don’t you know. Maybe we would have scared some folks in the movie theatre and gave them what they came for.

Congratulations Beckey W.!
You won my paranormal romance debut Falcon’s Angel. Enjoy.

Danita’s Halloween Blog Hop!

Welcome
to the Halloween Blog Hop!

Let’s
talk chills and thrills. For me, it’s movies. I love, love, love a good scary
movie.

I am
looking forward to the new movie Silent Hill Revelation in 3-D. After watching
the first Silent Hill movie, I could not imagine anything scarier than wandering
around a ghost town all by my lonesome.

And, yes,
it would take some great acting to actually get me out of that car…

The
whole movie was just so suspenseful. It left me wondering not when the heroine
was going to get killed, but how.

What makes
goose bumps rise on your arm? For Falcon and Angel, it’s il Dragone. Imagine a
devil-worshipping cult waiting for you in Silent Hill…

Ok, somebody
put on some big band happy music or maybe a nice calming Nutcracker ballet with
angelic swirling pink tulle as far as your eye can see – please!

Up next is my hero Armand Falcone d’Alessandro  a.k.a.  Falcon  a.k.a.  Tony

Assassin, Liar, Lover of Angel…

After the
game, they bought groceries at the old Roman marketplace. They waved their
Napoli flags at a rowdy group of fans joining the throng of people celebrating
on the avenue.

Angelina
stopped to make way for the fans cheering the home team victory. She could not
see Tony now that she’d left his side, and the dancing group closed in.

A
sun-bronzed hand grabbed hers, pulling her along, further away from the
laughing group. She had to jog to keep up with Tony while he forcefully parted
the bodies surrounding them.

“I should
have worn my sneakers!” She laughed.

They reached
the end of the avenue where the crowd thinned. Angelina saw who held onto her
wrist.

The silent
man’s brown eyes warned her, before holding her close. He was not much taller
than she was, but he was stocky. There was strength in the arm he put around
her waist. There was no getting away from him as he dragged her across the busy
street.

“Let go of
me!”

The man’s
grip loosened around her waist and he stumbled, jerking his head in her
direction. Recovering quickly, he reined her back in, but not before she saw
the wariness in his eyes. She almost tripped over her own feet as the crowd
pushed them along.

“Tony!” Her
screams blended in with the jovial shouts around her.

She tried to
twist out of the man’s arms, but he held onto her so tight his arm was pressing
into her ribcage. He didn’t look at her again, but nodded and smiled to the mob
of fans that moved toward the town square.

“Somebody!
Please, help me!”

A woman
passed by, laughing and waving a flag in Angelina’s face.

They had
reached the other side of the street. She was being abducted in the midst of a
drunken celebration. Tears streamed down her face and she screamed again as
everyone skipped past her and the silent man, laughing and singing.

She felt
rather than saw Tony jump on the man’s back, dragging him down to the ground,
and breaking his hold on her.

Angelina
slumped down while Tony and her abductor wrestled in the middle of the street.
While Tony pummeled the silent man in the face, she backed away on her elbows,
never once looking away from his calm, calculating eyes.

He’s not
going to stop.

Tony raised
his fist, ready for the descent and the silent man rolled from underneath him
with a groan.

Her abductor
fell into the crowd, pushing the bodies in front of him out of the way.

“Stay here,”
Tony ordered, and ran after the man.

She got to
her feet but could not see either of them, only the blood streaks on the ground
from her abductor’s beating.

The crowd
closed in around her. There was a squeal of tires as a car pulled away from the
curb.

Tony walked
back through the crowd. The sweat on his brow was the only indication that he’d
had some exercise. “He wasn’t alone. There was a car waiting for him. No

license
plate.”

She didn’t
know what she had expected to hear, certainly not his matter-of-fact tone. When
she looked into his eyes, his unspoken words hung between them. He was going to
take you…

Angelina had
the distinct impression that if the silent man had taken her, it would have
been his last action on earth. She stared at her companion of several weeks, a
fellow musician with beautiful long fingers that mastered the piano.

Killing
hands. She hugged herself.

Tony
murmured something and with a shake of his head, he opened her arms and lifted
her against his chest.

A warrior’s
chest. Better than a breastplate. His next words were so anticlimactic it took
a moment for them to register in her mind.

“Are you all
right?”

“Yes.”
Angelina shook in his arms. He was her Roman soldier, and she was his battle
prize. “Thank you for rescuing me. Again.”

She put her
arms around his neck and did what she wanted to do. She kissed him.

He slanted
his mouth over hers, and the crowd cheered.

Angelina
didn’t know if they were cheering the kiss or her champion, and she didn’t
care. She was more interested in what he was doing with his tongue and the way her
body fit the hard body holding her up.

Neither she
nor Tony said anything while she made a delicious slide down that body and her
feet touched the ground.

The last of the crowd moved away towards the celebration in the square as if they witnessed a beating and a criminal’s escape every day in this town.

Danita Minnis & the Alpha Male Blog Hop G*i*v*e*a*w*a*y!

The Alpha Male Angel loves…

…When she closed her eyes, his gaze hovered at her lips. She
felt his warm breath inches away from hers as she had when he’d backed her
against the church wall last night. When his hand had touched her cheek, she’d
felt the stroke in her belly. Lean, strong and six feet two. Tony was her type. He made her feel beautiful…

Hobbies:          Weight-Lifting, Kick-Boxing and Kicking Ass

While the jury is still out on how good a match Falcon and Angel are one thing is certain; they can’t get enough of each other.

Why are we always attracted to the bad guy? That charmer with looks that could kill? Maybe its forbidden fruit. Maybe we just want some excitement or a role in the fantasy. It could be that we just need those alpha males in the worst way.

In Falcon’s Angel, lady-killer Falcon is a catalyst in Angel’s awakening.
When Angel travels to Italy on a musical sojourn, she has no idea what she is getting herself into. Falcon manages to get her out of her clothes even while attempting to get her out of harm’s way. And she thinks she came up with the idea. Sweet.

Check out my favorite list of Alpha Males. I can see anyone of my boyfriends below fighting the devil-worshipping cult il Dragone right alongside Falcon. See anything you like?

Let the blogging begin!

Thank you so
much, Danita for having me here today. I’m so excited to introduce you to a
good friend of mine, Rebecca Carol. Before she arrives, let me share a few
things about her.

First of all, Rebecca Carol is the heroine in her story OPEN HOUSE.
She is full of life and a sassy, handful of a lady. She has a great sense of
humor, is very friendly, warm, and generally has a good time. She tends to give
everyone the benefit of the doubt and tries to be optimistic about life. On the
flip side, she has had one terrible experience after another with men. Her latest
mistake continually haunts and harasses her.

Rebecca is a realtor for a small office in Houston, Texas. She is
quite happy with her position right now, but could work in any metropolitan
area successfully. Rebecca loves Texas and really doesn’t want to leave the
area she grew up in and wants to remain close to family and friends.

Rebecca loves to meet new people and derives joy from helping her
clients find a home fits just perfectly.

Character Interview

Tall, slender woman with long auburn hair pokes her head around the
entry and smiles. Her blue eyes twinkle as she approaches Krystal and Danita.
She sits in the empty chair facing the other two women.

Rebecca: Hi Krystal. Hi Danita.

Krystal: Good morning, Rebecca. Thank you so much for making time to
stop by.

Rebecca: Anything for you, Krystal. Danita, thank you for hosting us.
Krystal is so excited for the release of OPEN HOUSE. It’s her first published
book. I’m just honored to be a part of that experience with her.

Krystal: You are so sweet. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions
for the audience?

Rebecca: Fire away!

Krystal: What is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Rebecca: *grin* Well… I could go two ways on that question.
Honestly, I’d have to say Robert is my favorite guilty pleasure, but if we are
talking food, anything with dark chocolate.

Krystal: Mmmm… good answer. Okay, how would you describe yourself to
our audience?

Rebecca: Well, I would have to say that I’m fun, honest, and a good
listener. I have a great group of friends, I’m a cat lover, and a romance novel
addict. In fact, Robert has teased me about my collection on more than one
occasion.

Krystal: What do you consider your greatest weakness?

Rebecca: I trust people very easily, sometimes too quickly.

Krystal: It’s your big heart.

Rebecca: Yes. Thank goodness Robert came along when he did though. One
of my ex’s just wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Krystal: Where do you go to relax or unwind?

Rebecca: Hot bubble bath, hands down. Although, I do have a new
favorite spot, but I don’t want to give away too much.

Krystal: Yes, we don’t want to give anything away. *smile* What
do you live for Rebecca?

Rebecca: Oh wow! That’s a big question. I suppose you could say I live
to love life. I love my job, even when my boss doesn’t think I spend enough
money on my clothes. *laughing* There’s more to life than the tag in
your clothes. I love to see the look in my clients faces when they find ‘the
right’ property! There’s nothing that quite beats that feeling… well except the
look I get from Robert when I walk in the door. *blushes bright red* That
kind of love is definitely something to live for.

Krystal: Is there anything you would kill for?

Rebecca: To protect family, though I would hope never to be put in
that situation.

Krystal: That sounds about right. Okay, can you give up three of your
deepest, darkest secrets.

Rebecca: Nope! Sorry, my secrets are staying with me.

Krystal: Well, I had to try. What about a super power? If you had one,
what would it be?

Rebecca: A superpower…hmmm… Reading minds. Yep, Robert always seems to
be able to read mine. I would like for once to know what’s going on in his.

Krystal: You don’t know? *snicker* I’m going to tell him to be
more direct with you.

Rebecca: I mean besides ‘that’. *shakes head and laughs*  You better not say anything. He’s insatiable
as it is.

Krystal: Here’s a fun one. A biography has been written about you.
What do you think the title would be in six words or less?

Rebecca: Small Town Girl Finds Soul Mate

Krystal: If money were not an object, where would you most like to
live?

Rebecca: I would love to visit a lot of places, but I love living in
Houston. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else.

Krystal: Fill in the blanks for the next questions.

Rebecca: Okay.

Krystal: I can never _________ because ____________.

Rebecca: I can never have a dog because I’m allergic.

Krystal: The next time I _____________ I will _________________.

Rebecca: The next time I see Robert I will smile and think naughty
thoughts.

Krystal: That was too easy.

Rebecca: Sorry, these are hard. *grin* But it is the truth.
Just seeing his big brown eyes and rippling abs. My favorite activity is
sunbathing with him. God, I love his stomach. I could just… Oh, sorry, I got
sidetracked there for a moment.

Krystal: That’s quite all right. Next question. Why do I always
______?

Rebecca: Why do I always let Robert have his way?

Krystal: Why do you?

Rebecca: Because I like to make him happy. If he’s happy, then so am
I. It fulfills me in a way that’s hard to explain. I don’t want you to think he
treats me badly, it’s quite the opposite; he treats me like a queen. But small
things or choices I used to make, he takes care of it now. He can even pick out
clothes for me that I swear I would have picked out myself. It’s uncanny how
tuned in to me he is.

Krystal: My favorite flavor is _________ because __________.

Rebecca: Easy! My favorite flavor is chocolate because it makes me
happy!

Krystal: I love __________ because I ____________.

Rebecca: Also easy. I love Robert because I know he loves me more than
anything.

Krystal: Last question. Name one thing you must do before you die, and
why?

Rebecca: I want to sky dive. I think it must be so fabulous to see the
world from such a vantage point. To feel the wind rushing past you and the
illusion of floating as you fall just seems like it would be exhilarating.

Krystal: Interesting, I wasn’t expecting that from you.

Rebecca: I have to keep a few secrets. *smile*

Krystal: Thank you so much for spending some time with us today.

Rebecca: Oh, it was my pleasure. Thank you for having me over and good
luck with the release tomorrow!

 OPEN
HOUSE Blurb:

Intrinsically woven into the fabric of human
existence, Aphrodite, Titan Goddess of Love and Passion, dedicates herself to
matching soul mates.

Rebecca Carol and Robert Corvin missed their original chance to bond when Ares,
God of War, took control of Robert’s career ten years ago. Their souls have
naturally pulled them back together for a second chance at love, but… How far
will the gods go to get their own way?

Will divine influence create another perfect match or will it tear them apart
forever?

Excerpt:

A
deep male voice boomed through her garden, breaking her concentration. “Aphrodite!”
The images of Robert and Rebecca swirled and were lost as the pool’s surface
went clear. She turned to face the irate male.

“Ditee!
Why can’t you just leave well enough alone?”

Aphrodite
leaned against the cool rock and gave him a lazy smile. She’d expected Ares to
complain. Robert Corvin played a key role in research and weapon development
for the United States. No human got into his position without a little shove
from the god of war.

“I
will do exactly as I wish, especially when it comes to souls who have searched
as long as these two have.”

“He’s
mine, Ditee. I’ve finally got him where he will be of most use, and now I hear
he has moved. Because of a girl! I knew it was your fault. Hands off.” His eyes
flashed red, and a deep growl rumbled from his chest.

Aphrodite
rose to face him. Her power rose and flamed within her, causing her skin to
glow white. Ares took a step back. “You will not speak to me so rudely,” she
said, her voice taking on its godly attributes, booming across the garden like
a sonic wave. Ares stumbled a little from the force. “I am your superior. These
souls deserve to be together, and you will not interfere.”

“The hell I won’t.”

Wicked Wednesday: Sabrina York and Rising Green

It is always a treat to have the very entertaining Sabrina York on the blog! Get to know Sabrina better as she answers my ten.

Afterward, check out her erotic horror short, Rising Green, just in time for Halloween!

Author Interview: Sabrina York

How did you choose your genre? What made you write
this book?

Oh, I didn’t choose this
genre. It chose me. I never in a million years thought I would be writing
erotica—and loving it! I certainly never thought I would write an erotic
horror. I actually wrote it on a dare from my critique partner Mark Henry, who
writes about zombies.

Writers write what they know, and must observe the
world. Are you a first born, middle or last child and how does this shape your
view of the world?

I am the middle child, so I
am always trying to find a balance in my world. That’s not always possible.
Maybe that’s why I became a writer. I have a little more control over what can
happen in that universe. I mean, when my characters quit bossing me around.

Where is your favorite place to write?

Like a mushroom, I am most
productive in a dark and lonely place. I tend to get distracted easily, so
there can be no sparkly things around. And I have to stock up on boring foods
because I will snack if it’s yummy and eat only when my stomach growls if it’s
vegetables. I’ve been known to sit in one position for ten hours at a stretch.
Once I hit the sweet spot, I don’t want to stop.

How do you feel about killing your darlings, and what
do you do with the remains?

I struggled with that for a
long time. Now I am blood thirsty and murder them with glee. (But I believe in
reincarnation—especially for characters—so it’s okay.) And, of course, I bury
them in a file in the dark recesses of my hard drive. No energy is ever lost or
wasted in my universe.

You are introduced to your favorite author. Who is it,
and what is that one burning question you must ask them?

I love so many authors—many
of which I’ve had the pleasure to meet at conferences or other meetings—it’s
hard to pick. My absolute favorite authors are my critique partners. Because
they are brave and fiercely loyal. The burning question I would ask them is:
Why do you still put up with me?

Inquiring minds want to know…tell readers something
about you that no one knows.

I write naughty, sexy,
illicit romances with hard, handsome heroes and bold, brash heroines…and I am
painfully shy around men—well, the hard and handsome ones, at least.

You are stranded on a deserted island with only a back
pack for company. What three items are in your survival pack?

A back pack is not very good
company. I would like a magic pen and paper (that never run out) and, of
course, George Clooney.

If you could have one super power in your existence,
what would it be?

It would be to write
faster.

Favorite snack?

Blue cheese melted on Melba
toast. Mmmm.

Indy 500 – Do you know how to get where you’re going
or do you drive the speed limit?

I always try to drive the speed limit. But like I mentioned, I get distracted. By my own thoughts. When stories are bubbling, well, anything can happen! I try not to write in the car. I also try – very hard – not to drive faster than the car in front of me.

Chaos erupts for members of a
scientific expedition on a remote island when Sage, the team’s botanist, is
impregnated with the spores of an alien plant form. She’s always been the
crew’s “ice princess” but now something’s changed. Now something is driving
her, raging through her, compelling her to screw every man on the desolate,
godforsaken rock. Again and again and again.

What the very
appreciative men don’t realize is that each illicit interaction, each
hedonistic commingling, takes its toll on them as well. And no one can survive
the torturous pleasure unscathed.

Reader Advisory: Forget
happy endings and get ready for steamy erotic horror that will shock you even
as it turns you on.
